Biography
Nancy Moore was re-elected to her sixth four-year term beginning in 2024. Her current term ends December 31, 2027.
Work History
In addition to her long tenure as an elected official in the City of Shaker Heights, Moore also worked as a freelance writer and educator.
Volunteer Activities
Moore has been actively involved in Shaker's schools and community for more than two decades. Currently, she serves as president of the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership Executive Committee. In addition, she has served on the boards of the Shaker Family Center, the Shaker Heights PTO, the Sussex Community Association, the Shaker Heights Youth Center, and the Shaker Heights Democratic Club. Prior to her election to City Council, Moore was an elected member of the Board of Education for the Shaker Heights City Schools.
Education
After completing her bacjelor of arts at Vassar College and George Washington University in French and German, she earned a master's degree in language and linguistics from Georgetown University.
Personal Life
Moore is a longtime resident of Shaker Heights. She and her family reside in the Sussex neighborhood.
