Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The City of Shaker Heights Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony is a cherished annual tradition, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

The day begins with a meaningful Ceremony at 9:00 am at City Hall, followed immediately by the parade. The parade travels east along Van Aken Boulevard (in the westbound lane) and finishes at the Van Aken District — a perfect spot to continue enjoying the morning together. Residents, community groups, schools, organizations, and businesses within the Shaker School tax district are all welcome to participate. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show your Shaker pride and come together as a community.
