Recreational opportunities abound in Shaker Heights - in both natural and manmade venues. From the serene nature trails of Southerly Park, to Thornton Park's Ice Arena and Swimming Pool, to the neighborhood playgrounds throughout the City, there is something for everyone!

Commercial and non-profit use of city property including parks, playgrounds, pavilions, fields, and other open space requires prior approval and a written agreement from the City. Please email Erin Rose for more information. Depending on the use, fees may be applied.

In order to request use of City and School parks and facilities for programs, Shaker-based organizations should complete the License Agreement Application Form.
