Sewer Fee Information
On April 29, 2024, Shaker Heights City Council approved legislation authorizing a sewer fee increase to be phased in over four years starting in May 2024. These include an increase to the City’s fixed monthly sewer fee and an increase to the local MCF rate. New fees are needed to allow the City to continue its aggressive sewer rehabilitation program. While we have made considerable progress over the past decade, much work remains to be done on our community's sewer infrastructure, which is now more than 100 years old in many locations.
