Overnight Parking Request

pexels-shaker-parkingOvernight parking on City streets is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.; vehicles parked on City streets during these hours may be ticketed. Residents who require overnight parking on a limited basis can make an overnight parking request online or call 216-491-1220.

Please Note: 

A. Eligibility and Limitations

  1. A maximum of three (3) overnight parking permissions may be granted to a single residential address within any three (3) month period.
  2. Each permission is valid for one (1) overnight period only.
  3. Permissions are vehicle-specific and issued based on the license plate number provided.
  4. Both the license plate and residential address will be counted toward the total number of allowable permissions during each three-month period.

B. Request and Approval Process

  1. Requests for overnight parking permission must be made in advance by one of the following methods:
    • Online
    • Telephone: 216-491-1220
    • In Person: Shaker Heights Police Department, 3355 Lee Road, Shaker Heights, Ohio 44120
  2. The requesting resident must provide:
    • Full name and address
    • Vehicle make, model, and license plate number
    • Requested date(s) for overnight parking
  3. The Records or Parking Division shall verify eligibility and issue approval or denial based on compliance with this order.
  4. Approved requests will receive confirmation via email or other department-approved method.
