Lee Road Zoning Changes Coming SoonIn December, the City of Shaker Heights Planning and Economic Development staff and Shaker Heights Development Corporation met with Chagrin-Lee business and property owners for a presentation and discussion about proposed zoning code on Lee Road in the Chagrin-Lee commercial district. We discussed what those updates could mean for the future of the neighborhood. These changes are part of implementing the Lee Road Action Plan, with a focus on supporting new mixed-use development, allowing certain uses not currently permitted (like restaurants), and encouraging signage that fits a mixed-use district. Mark your calendars for a City Planning Commission meeting on January 6, 2026, at 7pm at City Hall or on Zoom. At that meeting and subsequent City Council meetings, you can get additional information and have opportunities to ask questions and share concerns. For more information, contact Economic Development Director Laura Englehart at laura.englehart@shakerheightsoh.gov or 216-491-1334. 🔗 Learn more: shakerheightsoh.gov/LeeZoning
