The Shaker Heights Landmark Commission announces winners of the eighth annual Preservation Month Photo Contest. The contest, created in 2013, honors Preservation Month, which is celebrated each May by preservation organizations across the country. This year’s contest was on Instagram. Twenty four photographers submitted 67 entries at the hashtag #PreserveSH20.

The contest encouraged residents and visitors to submit images showcasing what makes Shaker “Shaker.” Submissions ranged from specific architectural details and landmark buildings to neighborhood scenes, events, streets and parks.

The Commission selected a grand prize winner and four runners-up. In addition, the People’s Choice award was given to the submission receiving the most likes on Instagram. All entries can be viewed at the Instagram hashtag #PreserveSH20.
