In fall 2024, the City completed the Lower Lake Multipurpose Trail, which is a 10-foot-wide, ADA accessible trail along S. Park Blvd. on the Shaker side of Lower Lake.
In May 2021, to slow traffic throughout the southern Moreland neighborhood, 63 trees were planted with a $30,000 grant from Boise Paper/Arbor Day Foundation. In September 2022, in conjunction with Scottsdale Boulevard repaving (Lee to the western City border), three traffic calming installations will be constructed: 1) Scottsdale Boulevard east of Pennington; 2) Scottsdale Boulevard west of Sudbury; and 3) Chelton Road near the entrance to Chelton Park.
Chagrin-Lynnfield Bike & Pedestrian Improvements
This busy intersection received new traffic signals and other improvements to ensure residents could more safely cross the intersection on foot or by bicycle.
Shaker-Warrrensville Intersection Improvements
The intersection was reconfigured to improve public safety when crossing Warrensville Center Rd. and create a small pocket park.
Warrensville Center Road & Farnsleigh Road Multipurpose Paths
The WCR path runs about a mile on the east side of Warrensville Center Rd. from Farnsleigh Rd. to Scottsdale Blvd. The Farnsleigh Rd. path runs on the west side of Farnsleigh from Van Aken Blvd. to Warrensville Center Rd. and will connect with the soon-to-be-built Van Aken Bikeway.
